I was a mediator of the Brain Injury Film Festival (BIFF) hosted by Douglas College. Put on by Fraser Health, this was a hosted presentation of “The Music Never Stopped” (2011), starring J. K. Simmons and Lou Taylor Pucci.
I introduced the evening, and we viewed the film. At the films' conclusion, I discussed music therapy and acquired brain injury as it referred to the characters in the film and by siting specific scientific research. A question and answer period followed about the field of music therapy and how it can benefit people with acquired brain injury.
