I am pleased to announce that I have been formally invited to play at this years ALEX FEST 2022! After a two year hiatus, Alex Fest is back with their family friendly event filled with live music, vendors, arts & crafts, food trucks, plant sale, and much more!

Please come and join us for this FREE public event on Saturday May 28th @ 11am - 5pm.

Whitecliff is presenting our first ever Hand Chime Concert! We are excite to play some Spring offerings for fellow residents, family, and friends. 

We are a newly formed hand chime group who are well into the swing of things, amassing quite the repertoire so far! 

Our Augustine House Chimers will be presenting a wonderful Spring Concert for fellow residents, family, and friends! 

We are thrilled to play some beautiful Spring songs for your with our amazing melody section of sonorous bells. 

The Westminster House Chimers will be putting on a wonderful Spring Hand Chime Concert for fellow residents, friends, and family!

Our melody and bass section, lead by myself and one of our recreation therapists, will delight the audience with some light and beautiful Spring themed songs. 

I am thrilled to be playing music again for the First United Church Christmas Day Luncheon.

Come join us for a traditional Christmas dinner, live music, caroling, and a visit from Santa! 

I have been excited to start a second hand chime choir with Westminster House. This choir began in April 2016, and we are thrilled to be presenting a Christmas concert with bass and soprano bells! 

We are looking forward to sharing Holiday Classics with a full orchestral-like sound with residents, family, and friends!

The ladies have been working hard preparing some holiday favourites to play for the residents of Augustine House and their family and friends. 

We are looking forward to sharing songs like White Christmas, Silver Bells, O Christmas Tree, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas on our beautiful chimes. 

I am excited to be playing holiday music again for the Dr. Al Hogg 2 Christmas Dinner for residents, family, and friends. 

I will be playing a selection of sacred and secular holiday tunes while we enjoy a home cooked Christmas dinner, followed by a carol sing for all! 

We had another wonderful Fall Hand Chime Concert with the Augustine House Chimers! Many of our residents were in attendance to hear some wonderfully warm Fall tunes. Here is an excerpt from our concert: 

"Good afternoon everyone and welcome to our Fall Hand Chime Concert. We will be playing a selection of fall themed popular favourites for you today. The residents have worked very hard on the music so we hope you enjoy it. The hand chime choir is for everyone, you don’t need to sign up and you don’t need any musical experience to join in. It’s very easy to learn as you will see so please feel free to come by and check out our group at our next rehearsal on Thursday October 6th."

Some of the songs from our set list included: The Yellow Rose of Texas, Cockles and Muscles, Lilli Marlene, Wayward Wind, Blue Moon, The Happy Wanderer, and Apple Blossom Time. 

We are looking forward to our Christmas Concert coming up on Monday December 19th! 

I have been invited to play music for the ceremony of a close friend and I couldn't be more excited! 

I will be providing instrumental piano music of various styles including classical and contemporary, before and during the ceremony. 

I am so excited for my friend and honoured to be playing at another wedding! 

The Westminster House Hand Chime Choir just enjoyed their first Summer concert under my leadership! 

I joined Westminster House as their new Music Therapist in April 2016, and I've enjoyed working with this large hand chime choir. The choir consists of a bass section lead by one of our recreation therapists, the melody section lead by me! 

The concert was a success. Residents, staff, family, and friends enjoyed tea and snacks while they enjoyed some familiar summer time songs. 

We are looking forward to performing again in the Fall!

The Augustine Chimers wowed residents and staff alike with their Summer concert! 

The Augustine Chimers formed in February 2015, and it has been a truly collaborative effort since its inception! The residents choose all the repertoire for the concert, and being part of a musical group has really bolstered the self-confidence of the players. 

The residents and staff love to hear the wondrous sounds of the bells. Congratulations Augustine Chimers!

I have been invited by Vashti Fairbairn, owner and operator of The Music Box , to provide a workshop for the music teachers of this New Westminster based music studio. This workshop is called, "Tips & Teaching Strategies for Working with Children and People with Disabilities", and will focus on my experiences as a music therapist teaching adaptive and inclusive music lessons to people with disabilities. 

The workshop will focus on methods of building goals and objectives that are appropriate for the student, which addresses their personal needs and ambitions with their musical instrument of choice. We will also look at teaching pedagogy, and how that might differ when teaching from a client-centered humanistic approach.

I'm looking forward to this workshop and to meeting other music teachers in our community!

An ongoing music entertainment group, "Music for the Soul", is held for the residents of Dr. Al Hogg building, 3rd floor. Residents gather around for some social interaction and music for relaxation. I play old time favourites that we can all sing along to. All residents are welcome, and there are plenty of smiling faces throughout. 

Today's session we will be hearing from the residents to find out what some of their favourite tunes are. I always have a few ideas up my sleeve if no one can think of a song off the top of their head!

This session we focused on Music for the New Year, playing New Year's related songs, and songs to revitalize and refresh us! 

I am very excited to be providing music for a private wedding on New Year's Eve! I have played many weddings in the past, but never on a day so festive. I will be providing classical music for the ceremony, and a mix of jazz and contemporary covers for the buffet dinner. Really excited to be a part of this very special day!

This event is open to the public. Come join us at First United Church for a Christmas luncheon on Christmas Day. I will be providing festive music for us to celebrate Christmas Day together. I am thrilled to be playing music for my very first ever wedding proposal gig! It happened on White Rock Pier on a very cold windy night, but the bride said, "YES"!!! Watch the video...real time audio will be added soon...

This is my first year working with the White Rock Seniors Village choir, also known as Ocean View Care Home, also known as Christina Place. We have an enthusiastic group of singers who are excited to share some holiday cheer with family and friends. We will be sharing our songs in a group sing-a-long, and maybe we'll even shake some jingle bells too! 

This will be my first year playing holiday music for the annual Christmas dinner on Al Hogg Pavilion 1 at Peace Arch. Looking forward to singing Merry Merry with all the residents, their families and friends, while we enjoy some turkey and pumpkin pie! Many carols with be had, and much joyous festivities will be enjoyed.
